Horticultural Therapy and the Connection with Cooperative Extensions

Join us for the third AHTA Community Meeting, where Horticultural Therapist, and long time AHTA member John Murphy of Bullington Gardens will talk about his connection to the North Carolina Cooperative Extension and where he is today in the program.

John is the Education Director of Bullington Gardens in Hendersonville, NC. Since 1999 he has worked to develop the public gardens and offer a variety of programs for school children and adults. He started the HT program for high school students with special needs in 2003. John has a Master of Science in horticulture degree, is a registered horticultural therapist and is also a licensed teacher.
